FiReP® has double the strength of normal steel, but the weight is only a quarter of steel.
FiReP® profiles are produced in a pultrusion process using high quality glassfibers, having a high fiber content of about 80%.
The glassfibers are enbedded in either Polyester- or Vinylester- or Epoxy resin matrix. This gives the rod a high tensile strength specially in the longitudenal direction. The resin matrix fixes and protects the glassfibers.
